A Wind Advisory is in effect for Coalinga, Avenal, and West Side Mountains until 11 PM PDT tonight, with gusts up to 45 mph expected to impact travel and potentially cause power outages.
A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service Hanford CA, effective from 1 PM this afternoon, October 11, until 11 PM PDT this evening, October 11.
Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph, are expected. The affected areas include Buena Vista, Coalinga - Avenal, and the West Side Mountains South of Highway 198, primarily west of Interstate 5.
These gusty winds may cause unsecured objects to be blown around. There is a possibility of tree limbs being blown down and a few power outages occurring.
The National Weather Service advises that winds of this strength can make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Residents are urged to use extra caution when traveling during this period.
