A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service Hanford CA for the Indian Wells Valley, Mojave Desert, and Mojave Desert Slopes. The advisory is effective from 2 PM PDT on Sunday, October 11, until 8 AM PDT on Monday, October 12.
Southwest winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. These strong winds could blow around unsecured objects, lead to downed tree limbs, and potentially cause power outages.
Motorists, especially those operating high-profile vehicles, should exercise extreme caution as driving conditions may be difficult. Highways impacted include US Highway 395, and State Routes 14, 58, and 178.
