Residents in Orange County Coastal areas are advised to take immediate precautions as an Extreme Heat Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service San Diego CA. The warning is effective from today, October 7, at 11:47 AM PDT, until Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 PM PDT.
Dangerously hot conditions are expected, with high temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to mid-90s. Nighttime temperatures will remain very warm, with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. These conditions significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
To protect yourselves and your loved ones, residents are urged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and remain out of the sun. Please check on relatives and neighbors, especially those who may be more vulnerable to heat. It is critical to remember not to leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles, as car interiors can reach lethal temperatures rapidly.
