The USPS Schedule An Appointment system allows customers to book passport-related services at participating Post Office locations. The system includes the following features and steps: Service Types Available: - New Passport Only - New Passport with Photo Services - Passport Renewal - Digital Photo Services Only - Hard Copy Photo Services Only Appointment Scheduling Steps: 1. Choose a Service: Select the type of passport service needed and indicate the number of adults and minors under 16 years old (0-6 of each) 2. Search by Location or Date: Users can search for nearby Post Offices offering passport services within various radius options (1-100 miles) or select a preferred date up to 4 weeks in advance 3. Select a Time: Appointments are displayed with available time slots. Appointments take approximately 15 minutes per person. Customers should arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment time 4. Provide Contact Information: Users must enter their first name, last name, phone number, and email address to verify their identity using either text message or email verification 5. Harmonized System (HS) Code Lookup - Get Required Codes for International Packages. For international packages, you need an 'HS Code' for each item in your package. Type a detailed description of your item to get the required HS Code. The lookup tool requires users to enter a valid destination country and provide a clear, detailed item description of at least some length (0-500 characters). Users can optionally select a Category and Subcategory to improve search accuracy. The tool returns results with the HS code number and item description. Users are instructed to verify results match their item, and if not, to add more details in the Item Description field and search again. Resources available include information about HS Codes and Customs Forms for international packages, Customs Forms FAQs, the ability to create customs forms, Click-N-Ship for printing shipping labels and customs forms, and price calculation tools.
Schedule a Redelivery If we missed you when we tried to deliver your mail, you can schedule a Redelivery online using a tracking number or the barcode number shown on the back of your PS Form 3849, We ReDeliver for You! Redeliveries can be scheduled online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For same-day Redelivery, make sure your request is submitted by 2 AM CST Monday-Saturday or your Redelivery will be scheduled for the next day. Check to determine if Redelivery is available for your address. Step 1: Check if Redelivery is available for your address. Customers must provide contact information including first name, last name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone, and email. The address must match the original delivery address. Step 2: Select packages for Redelivery. Enter a tracking or barcode number shown on the back of PS Form 3849. Tracking numbers are for individual packages while barcode numbers can have multiple tracking numbers associated with it. Both types are between 13 and 34 characters. Redelivery Types: USPS Smart Parcel Locker: If marked as eligible on PS Form 3849, packages can be delivered to USPS Smart Parcel Lockers, which are mostly available 24/7 with a one-time pickup code. USPS Carrier Redelivery: Fill out the back of PS Form 3849 to let the carrier know when and where to leave the package, then place the form in your mailbox. Customer Pickup: Go to the Post Office location on the back of PS Form 3849 to pick up the package or send a representative. Return to Sender by USPS: If you don't want the package, USPS will return it to the shipper with the endorsement "Return to Sender." Step 3: Confirm selections for Redelivery. Review and confirm the redelivery selections after accepting the Terms and Conditions. Step 4: Sign up for Informed Delivery. Customers are offered the option to sign up for Informed Delivery notifications, a free feature allowing tracking of Redelivery requests, preview of incoming mail, and more. Mail and packages will populate the dashboard in 2 to 5 business days. For assistance, customers can call 800-ASK-USPS (800-275-8777).
