A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Dougherty County, effective immediately from the National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee, FL, as of October 10 at 2:07 AM EDT. Residents in Albany are urged to complete preparations now as hazardous conditions are imminent. This warning expires at 10:15 AM UTC on October 10, 2026.
Forecasters anticipate winds of 10-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, with a potential for wind speeds of 39 to 57 mph. Efforts to protect property should be underway, with limited wind damage expected to porches, awnings, sheds, and unanchored mobile homes. Expect some large tree limbs to break and isolated power/communication outages.
A Flood Watch is also in effect, with an additional 1 inch of rainfall expected.
