Whitestown Opens First Dog Park with Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs

Whitestown opened Gateway Bark Park on May 1, giving residents a dedicated space to exercise their dogs. The 1.5-acre facility at 6150 Gateway East Drive features separate play areas for large dogs and dogs under 30 pounds, plus a walking path, benches, and a wash station.

The park reached its initial capacity of 100 memberships shortly after opening. Town officials will monitor usage before expanding membership.

Membership costs $75 for Whitestown residents' first dog and $120 for non-residents. Additional dogs cost $55 each, with a three-dog household limit.

Residents can apply at whitestown.in.gov/bark-park or call (765) 859-1191.
