Nassau Prosperity Alliance Launches Economic Development
The Nassau Prosperity Alliance held its inaugural meeting Nov. 28 to coordinate economic development efforts across Nassau County.
The coalition includes the Nassau County Economic Development Board, Nassau County Chamber of Commerce, Amelia Island Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Small Business Development Center at UNF, and Prosper Nassau. Members will pursue job attraction and retention, promote workforce housing, and coordinate planning initiatives that support economic development.
The Economic Development Board will recruit high-wage target industries to diversify the tax base. The Chamber of Commerce will promote business interests through networking and advocacy. The Visitors Bureau will expand tourism on Amelia Island. The Small Business Development Center will provide training and technical assistance to entrepreneurs.
