City of Northwood Monitoring COVID-19, Advises Residents to Follow Health Guidelines
A message from the City of Northwood Regarding COVID-19 COVID-19 The City of Northwood is closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and its potential impact on our residents and businesses. City officials are actively participating in discussions with local, state, and federal agencies, including the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to stay informed and provide guidance to our residents and businesses. We recommend residents and businesses follow the recommendations of these public health organizations. Information on COVID-19 is rapidly evolving. We will provide updates on our City webpage as new information becomes available.

Northwood Police Arrest Suspect in U-Haul Trailer Theft
NORTHWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE INCIDENT: Arrest for Theft of Rental Property DATE OF INCIDENT: April 20, 2024 LOCATION OF INCIDENT: Northwood, Iowa On April 20, 2024, at approximately 12:41 PM, the Northwood Police Department responded to the 100 block of 9th Street North regarding a report of a theft of a U-Haul trailer. Through the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified. Subsequently, on April 22, 2024, law enforcement located the suspect. The suspect was arrested for Theft 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, and transported to the Worth County Jail where they are being held to await an initial appearance before a Magistrate.

Grafton Public Library Board Meetings
Library Board Meetings Meetings of the Board of Trustees for the Grafton Public Library are monthly on Wednesdays at 6:45 PM, in person, at the library. They are open to anyone who wishes to attend. Notice of meetings and the agenda are posted on the front door of the library at least 24 hours prior to each meeting. In addition, 24-hours' notice of meetings is announced here on our website. If the date and time of the meeting changes, such notice will also be posted on the front door of the library or on our website. There is time set aside on the agenda every meeting for public comment and correspondence. We welcome public comment during this time. If you wish to address the library board, please contact the library several days in advance to be placed on the agenda. You may also submit written correspondence to be read and addressed.
