Roommate Dispute Erupts in Shooting on Deltona's Saxton Boulevard; Gunman Flees

A late-night argument inside a Deltona home on Saxton Boulevard on Thursday escalated into a shooting, leaving two residents unharmed but shaken. The gunman fled the scene and remains at large as the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation.

The incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, began as a dispute in the kitchen of the residence. Deputies reported that the suspect fired approximately three to five shots during the altercation. While two individuals were inside the home at the time, neither sustained injuries or was struck by gunfire.

Following the shooting, the suspect immediately fled the area. Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies quickly responded, surrounding the home as a precautionary measure during their initial investigation. The Sheriff’s Office has stated that they do not believe there is an immediate threat to the wider community.
