Winter Park Mourns Rinal Victor Hoheb, 34

Winter Park residents mourn the loss of Rinal Victor Hoheb, 34, who died July 22, 2026. Born Sept. 6, 1991, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Hoheb was raised by his mother, Nalja Tyson, and stepfather, Steve Tyson, with siblings Rial and Taylor.

The family moved to Orlando in 1999. Hoheb adapted quickly, joining his middle and high school marching bands. He nurtured a passion for cooking from a young age, dreaming of becoming a chef and restaurateur. After graduating from Wekiva High School in Apopka on June 8, 2010, he studied at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Orlando.

Hoheb faced significant health challenges after a lupus diagnosis the day before his 16th birthday. The aggressive disease led to kidney failure and dialysis three times weekly. Despite these struggles, he remained a beloved family presence, often serving as the grill master and sous chef. He also enjoyed drawing, football, basketball and video games.

In December 2016, Hoheb was baptized at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Oviedo. His family remembers his courage, resilience and quiet determination. He shared love, laughter and kindness, known for his humble nature and lack of complaint through unimaginable difficulties.

Hoheb died surrounded by his close family. His life, though brief, was filled with meaning and love. His family encourages all who knew him to appreciate life, love deeply, find strength in adversity and give thanks.

A viewing was held Aug. 1, 2026, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 9 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 311 E. Broadway St., Oviedo, FL, 32765. Pastor Charles Jones officiated. Burial was at Boston Cemetery, 199 Boston Hill Cemetery Rd., Oviedo, FL, 32765.
