A motorcyclist has died following a crash on Shader Road in Orlando involving a Chevrolet Tahoe that left the scene, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. The incident occurred on Shader Road, west of Aquablue Way, in Orange County, a stretch often navigated by residents heading towards areas like Winter Park.

According to troopers, a Suzuki motorcycle and a Chevrolet Tahoe were traveling eastbound on Shader Road. The Tahoe was slowing down when the motorcyclist, who was following behind, failed to reduce speed and collided with the rear of the SUV. The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle.

The rider was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, a prominent medical institution serving the region, where they were pronounced dead. The driver of the Tahoe reportedly left the scene after the collision. A witness provided troopers with the SUV's tag number, which aided investigators in locating the vehicle parked and unoccupied in a business parking lot, possibly near one of the many retail centers along Aloma Avenue.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased motorcyclist or confirmed if the driver of the Tahoe has been identified. The Florida Highway Patrol is asking anyone with information regarding the crash to contact them by dialing *347 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
