Ocala Fire Rescue crews responded to an accidental electrical fire at Main Street Mower, 733 North Magnolia Avenue, early Tuesday morning, October 6, 2026. Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom followed by smoke and a glow from the building. Firefighters arrived at approximately 7:25 a.m. to find heavy smoke and zero visibility inside the shop area.

A captain cut an entry point through a service garage door, allowing crews to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported; employees were in the parking lot when the fire was detected. The fire was concentrated in the shop area and caused considerable damage.

During the response, North Magnolia Avenue was closed between NE 5th Street and NE 9th Street. The railroad company CSX was notified due to the fire’s proximity to nearby tracks. The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue assisted on scene.

Crews extinguished the fire, ventilated the building, and checked for hot spots. The Ocala Building Department also responded.
