Winter Haven Public Works: City Services Explained

The City of Winter Haven's Public Works Department manages essential city services through four divisions: Streets, Drainage, and Traffic Operations; Natural Resources; Solid Waste; and Fleet Maintenance. Management, administration, and frontline staff contribute to the department's operations.

The Streets, Drainage, and Traffic Operations division maintains public rights-of-way, including streets, sidewalks, trees, traffic signals, and highway lighting. This division also manages the city's stormwater conveyance system.

The Natural Resources division oversees Winter Haven's public lakes, waterways, and natural areas, ensuring their preservation and accessibility.
