Winter Haven City Budget Hearings Scheduled for Sept.

The Winter Haven City Commission will hold two public hearings next month to discuss the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2024/2025. Residents can attend to offer opinions on the city's financial plan.

The first hearing is set for Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. The second meeting occurs Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, also at 6:30 p.m. Both will take place in the John Fuller Auditorium at City Hall, 451 Third Street NW, Winter Haven.

These hearings offer residents a chance to learn how taxpayer money will be allocated and to provide input on departmental funding, city services and potential expenditures.

The City Commission approves the annual budget, which guides the city's operations and investments. Public participation is a key part of this process.
