Winter Haven Man Arrested for Fake Emergency Lights
A 20-year-old Winter Haven man admitted to using red and blue LED lights to intimidate other drivers into moving out of his way, leading to his arrest Wednesday night.
Misael Guerrero-Ramirez was arrested June 9, 2026, in Wahneta and charged with impersonation of a law enforcement officer, a third-degree felony. A motorist reported being pulled over by someone flashing emergency lights from a Chevy truck on Bomber Road at 10:27 p.m. When the victim stopped his vehicle, the truck drove away.
A deputy located the truck on Bomber Road and found it equipped with red and blue LED lights mounted on the front windshield. Guerrero-Ramirez told the deputy he uses the lights on drivers who brake-check him to force them to move out of his way.
Florida law restricts red and blue emergency lights to authorized law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical vehicles. Impersonation of a law enforcement officer carries potential penalties including prison time and fines.
