Lake Alfred Lifts Boil Water Notice

Lake Alfred officials lifted a precautionary boil water notice Tuesday for city residents. The notice, issued out of an abundance of caution, is no longer in effect as of 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026. Residents no longer need to boil water before consumption or use. Water quality has been restored to safe levels.

The city issued the notice following an unspecified event.
