The City of Winter Haven is currently seeking a Part-Time Building Service Worker for the Advent Fieldhouse & Conference Center. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of city facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for visitors.

The role offers a minimum pay rate of $16.80 per hour. Responsibilities include a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks. Workers will scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors, dust and polish furniture, and wash windows. They will also clean toilets, washrooms, and fixtures, and collect and dispose of trash and litter from both buildings and grounds.

Beyond routine cleaning, the position involves minor repair work, such as fixing defects in walls and painting. Workers will also assist with other minor repairs to buildings and equipment as needed. Operational duties include refilling paper towel and soap dispensers, sweeping outside areas, and operating a city vehicle to travel to various locations.

A key aspect of the job involves supporting community events. The Building Service Worker will set up and take down furniture and equipment for special programs and events. They will also assist in monitoring the facility and coordinating customer needs during these functions, requiring excellent customer service skills.
