Summer Crisis Program serves 706 residents; Winter Crisis beginning soon (23 Oct 2025) - Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) served 706 clients through its Summer Crisis Program (SCP) this year, helping residents in Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties stay safe and cool during the hottest months. 3. National Head Start Awareness Month: GLCAP Head Start team helps everyone succeed (23 Oct 2025) - October is Head Start Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the many ways Head Start helps children and families build a strong foundation for learning and life. 4. Enrollment continues as Head Start celebrates 60 years (13 Oct 2025) - Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) continues to enroll the next generation of Head Start students in its 2025-2026 school year classes. 5. GLCAP to submit CSBG plan (07 Oct 2025) - Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) will submit its plan for the use of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds for fiscal year 2026-27 to the Ohio Department of Development. 6. Levy supports Sandusky County seniors (01 Oct 2025) - Sandusky County seniors will benefit from improved and continued senior services should county voters approve a replacement levy this fall. 7. Local senior centers help older adults stay engaged (18 Sep 2025) - In 2024 alone, GLCAP's senior centers offered a total of 1,692 programs for local seniors, with nearly 900 people taking part in senior center services. 8. Hands-On Learning and Safety at the EPA Region 5 Tribal Training on the Lac Du Flambeau Ojibwe Reservation (18 Sep 2025) - Earlier this season, the EPA Region 5 Tribal Training brought together water professionals and Tribal operators for two full days of hands-on learning and safety education on the Lac Du Flambeau Ojibwe Reservation. 9. No-cost welding classes set to begin Sept. 29 at Terra (10 Sep 2025) - The Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) WorkAdvance program is offering a no-cost welding certification course starting Sept. 29 at Terra State Community College in Fremont. 10. Summer Crisis Program available until Sept. 30 (09 Sep 2025) - Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) is continuing to offer assistance to eligible residents of Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties.
