Residents across Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb, Cullman, Moore, Lincoln, and Franklin counties are advised to monitor weather updates as a High Wind Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service in Huntsville, AL.

The watch is in effect from Saturday morning, October 10th, through Sunday morning, October 11th. Southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph are possible, with gusts potentially reaching 50 mph across all of Northern Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee. Higher terrain areas could experience gusts between 60 to 70 mph.

Potential impacts include downed trees and power lines, leading to widespread power outages. Travel may also be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The National Weather Service urges everyone in the affected areas to monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates as this event approaches.
