The St. Pete Pier offers a variety of fall-themed events throughout October, including a pumpkin patch, fall festival and a costumed dog parade.

Piertoberfest, the fourth annual celebration, began Oct. 3. The event featured The Apple Strudel Oktoberfest Band, German beers and food, traditional dancers, a DJ, stein-hoisting competitions and Bavarian games.

The St. Pete Pier Pumpkin Patch runs Oct. 8-25, offering free admission for pumpkin picking and purchases. Simultaneously, Putt the Pier: Fall Pumpkin Edition provides a mini-golf experience with fall decorations, music and waterfront views. Reservations are suggested for this paid activity.

The St. Pete Fall Festival takes place Oct. 10-11 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. This free event includes live music, food vendors and children's activities such as bounce zones, magicians and kid-friendly bands.

The month's events conclude with the Costumed Dog Parade on Oct. 24 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Spectators attend free. Dog owners can register pets for $20 plus taxes and fees to compete for prizes in categories including Best Human & Pet Duo, Most Original Pet Costume and People’s Choice.
