Meek Mill Returns to Temple University for Dream Chasers Summit, Inspiring Over 2,300 Students

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill returned to Temple University’s Liacouras Center on Sept. 10, 2026, for the Dream Chasers Summit, marking his first time back at the North Broad Street venue since he hosted the initial summit in 2013.

Over 2,000 college students and 300 high school seniors attended the event. Mill stated his intention for the summit was to provide motivation and educational benefits to the community, telling Action News anchor Sharrie Williams, according to WPVI, “I wanted to bring the educational side, so maybe some kids can leave here with some motivation.”

The 2026 summit featured programming structured around three themes inspired by Mill’s albums: “Dreams and Nightmares,” which focused on ownership, music, and personal development; “Championships,” covering sports and leadership; and “Wins and Losses,” addressing second chances and community giving.

The first Dream Chasers Summit took place on Aug. 30, 2013, co-hosted by Mill and former NBA player Dion Waiters. Panel guests at that event included Rick Ross, Master P, Machine Gun Kelly, Lou Williams, and Thaddeus Young.

Confirmed attendees at the 2026 summit included Larry Miller, chairman of the Nike Jordan Brand advisory board, Hoodline reported. Miller, who served nearly five years in juvenile detention for a 1965 gang-related murder in West Philadelphia, graduated from college while incarcerated. He kept his past private for decades before sharing it in his 2022 memoir. In February 2025, Miller launched the Justice and Upward Mobility Project with the nonprofit The Just Trust, aiming to expand workforce development and career opportunities for justice-impacted individuals.

Diamond Rosa, a 12th grader from North Philly attending the summit, expressed hope, stating, “It gives me hope because I’m also from North Philly.”
