Chris Brown Honored by Congress in Arlington, TX

WIMAUMA — R&B artist Chris Brown received a congressional recognition celebrating his career and contributions to music during a recent stadium performance with Usher in Arlington, Texas.

U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat representing Texas' 30th Congressional District, presented the award at AT&T Stadium. Texas State Representative Venton Jones also participated in the ceremony.

Music producer RoccStar, who has collaborated with Brown, stated on Instagram that he facilitated the connection between Brown and Congress for the recognition. He described the moment as significant for the singer.

“Wow WE MADE IT TO THE HISTORY BOOKS!! BLESSED & highly favored! …what a moment !!! What a night!!” RoccStar wrote on social media. He thanked Crockett for her involvement and detailed his role in arranging the honor.

“I had the pleasure of making a powerhouse play between congress and my brother @chrisbrownofficial with such a rare honor!” RoccStar added, noting that Crockett and State Rep. Venton Jones carried out the presentation.

RoccStar commented that the honor signifies Brown being documented alongside Usher as influential figures whose impact on R&B has been acknowledged by lawmakers. “He will now forever be documented along with my big brother @usher as two of the most influential musicians ever with have touched so many peoples lives positively through RNB now there works will be remembered forever by the House of Representatives,” he wrote.

The producer reflected on the personal significance of helping Brown receive the honor after years of working together. “I have made so many hits and albums with @chrisbrownofficial but being able to bring a honor like this to my brother almost brought me to tears glad to be apart history!” he stated.

The recognition is recorded in the Congressional Record. The honor also extended to Usher, connecting the two performers beyond their co-headlining tour.

Brown and Usher continue their R&B Tour, a stadium run across North America. The tour's Dallas stop at AT&T Stadium was initially scheduled for 2026, with additional dates added due to demand. The tour now includes 59 dates across North America.
