Hill School Wilmington Gets Interactive Projectors Grant
The Hill School of Wilmington will outfit all 12 classrooms with interactive projectors and learning tools after receiving a grant from the Ministering Circle, the school announced May 12.
The technology serves students in grades 1-8 with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD. Teachers will use the equipment to deliver multi-sensory instruction and create flexible learning spaces tailored to individual student needs.
The Ministering Circle, a 50-member non-denominational women's group, has funded health, wellness, and educational projects in Wilmington since 1894. The organization raises money annually for initiatives that improve local learning environments.
Hill School students score at or above expected progress levels in reading (86%), math (80%), and writing (81%). The school has served more than 800 students with learning differences since 2010.
Those interested in supporting the school can visit its giving page to make annual, monthly, or planned contributions.
