CFCC launches 10-week craft brewing program

Cape Fear Community College began its Commercial Craft Brewing program June 1, offering hands-on training for entry-level positions in the brewing industry.

The program meets Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through August 10 at the downtown Wilmington campus. Students rotate through local breweries for real-world experience and learn brewing techniques, equipment operation, quality control, and sanitation protocols.

The course costs $210 and requires participants to be at least 21 years old. Graduates prepare for positions as production assistants, cellar workers, and packaging line staff.

Registration remains open. Interested students can enroll at cfcc.edu/job-training/hospitality/craft-brewing or contact the college's continuing education office.
