North Dakota's $1,600 tax credit erases bills for 50,000 homeowners
A landmark property tax relief package signed by Gov. Kelly Armstrong last spring has eliminated property tax bills for roughly 50,000 North Dakota households—nearly equivalent to Bismarck's entire population. The tripling of the primary residence credit from $500 to $1,600, funded by state Legacy Fund earnings, is delivering even more relief than lawmakers initially projected.
