A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Wiggins in Stone County, effective immediately as of October 9 at 9:49 PM CDT by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile AL. The warning is set to expire on October 10 at 6:00 AM UTC.
Residents of Wiggins should be aware of potential wind gusts up to 40 mph, though sustained winds are expected to remain below tropical storm force (15-25 mph). The NWS indicates that the wind threat has decreased, and little to no additional wind impacts are expected.
Currently, there is little to no potential for flooding rain, with no additional significant rainfall forecast. The threat of flooding rain has also decreased. The NWS does not expect tornadoes, with the situation being unfavorable for their formation.
