Day.News – Residents in Cherokee, Clay, Bradley, East Polk, Hamilton, Marion, and West Polk counties should prepare for a High Wind Watch effective from Saturday morning through Sunday morning. The National Weather Service (NWS) Morristown TN has issued this watch, warning of potential east winds between 20 to 35 mph with gusts reaching up to 60 mph.

These damaging winds could lead to downed trees and power lines, with widespread power outages possible. Travel may become difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.

The NWS advises monitoring the latest forecasts and warnings for updates. Prior to the onset of winds, fasten loose outdoor objects or shelter them in a safe location.
