NOTICE UNDER THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, TITLE II
Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act OF 1990 ("ADA") prohibits discrimination based on disability in public services and programs. Denton County does not discriminate against individuals with disabilities in its services, programs or activities.
Denton County is committed to providing, in accordance with Title II, public access to all of its facilities, services, programs and activities. Denton County will generally, upon request provide appropriate aids and services for effective communication, and will make reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to utilize/enjoy its programs, services, activities and benefits.
The Title II Coordinator for Non-Judicial Matters, identified below, coordinates Denton County's efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under Title II in all matters that do not concern proceedings before a district court or statutory county court of Denton County. The Title II Coordinator for Judicial Matters in District Courts and the Title II Coordinator for Judicial matters in County Courts, identified below, coordinate Denton County's efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under Title II in matters that concern proceedings before the respective district and statutory county courts of Denton County.
