Wauchula seeks engineering firms for lift station flood protection project

The City of Wauchula is accepting qualifications from engineering firms to design and oversee elevation and flood hardening of three sanitary sewer lift stations, funded through a federal Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery.

The project scope includes preliminary engineering, surveying, design, permitting, structural and electrical engineering, bid assistance, construction administration, and project closeout.

Interested firms should contact Stephanie Camacho, city clerk, at 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, or call (863) 773-3131 or email [email protected] to obtain the Request for Qualifications package.

Statements of qualifications must be marked "RFQ – Professional Engineering Services – CDBG-DR Lift Station Resiliency Project" and received by 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at City Hall.

A site visit is scheduled for 10 a.m. June 4, 2026, at 120 Park Drive, Wauchula. The city encourages minority-owned, women-owned, and Section 3 businesses to apply.
