Travelers in the Northern Susitna Valley, specifically Broad Pass, should prepare for difficult driving conditions due to a Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service in Anchorage, AK. The advisory is in effect from 5:13 AM AKDT today, October 10, until 7:00 AM AKDT on Sunday, October 11.

Total snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches are expected. An early season snowfall will impact Broad Pass throughout this period. Steady snow this morning may mix with rain and decrease for a time this afternoon before returning as snow Saturday evening through Sunday morning.

Forecasts indicate 2 to 8 inches of snow are likely with the first round this morning, with an additional 2 to 4 inches possible tonight into Sunday morning. Temperatures are expected to be in the lower to mid-30s during the day.
