States Sue USPS Over Mail-in Voting Order, Iran Considers Strait of Hormuz Deal
Democratic-led states filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Postal Service, challenging a presidential order regarding mail-in voting. Separately, Iran indicated it would ban military vessels from the Strait of Hormuz if a deal with Oman to reopen the waterway progresses. The FDA also approved a new medication for pancreatic cancer.
Multiple Democratic-controlled states initiated legal action against the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) on Wednesday. The lawsuit contests a presidential executive order concerning mail-in voting procedures.
In a separate international development, Iran announced a potential condition for an agreement with Oman. Iran stated it would prohibit all military vessels from traversing the Strait of Hormuz if the two nations finalize a deal to reopen the waterway.
Domestically, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a new medication. The agency's decision sanctions the use of this drug for treating pancreatic cancer.
