E-bike Safety & Drainage Issues at District 4 Meeting

E-bike Safety, Drainage Top Concerns at District 4 Meeting

Walton County Commissioner Donna Johns drew a standing-room crowd Thursday to discuss District 4 issues including e-bike safety on sidewalks, drainage problems, and park improvements.

County Administrator Brian Kellenberger and senior staff members fielded questions about reckless e-bike riding, flooding in several neighborhoods, upgrades to Paradise Park and Legion Park, and pickleball court placement. County staff then met individually with residents about specific projects.

"This was a great way of getting facts out to our residents," Johns said. "I learned some things and it was great having staff here to answer questions and address concerns."

Johns acknowledged the difficulty of serving a diverse district. "We know that there is no way to please everybody, but we are trying to make the best decisions we can for everybody," she said.
