WAKULLA COUNTY, FL – October 8, 2026 – The National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee FL has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Inland Wakulla, effective immediately at 11:05 PM EDT and expiring at 7:15 AM EDT on October 9, 2026. This warning specifically impacts Crawfordville and Wakulla Springs.
Residents must prepare for extensive impacts, particularly from flooding and tornadoes. A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 4-8 inches of rain, and localized higher amounts, expected. The situation is favorable for several tornadoes. Be ready to shelter quickly if a tornado warning is issued. Such events can cause significant damage, including power loss and communications failures. Wind speeds are forecast to be 10-15 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, with potential for gusts up to 57 mph. Little to no additional wind impacts are expected beyond current assessments.
