Vero Beach to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Utility Rate Increases

"Notice of Public Hearing – Proposed Utility Rate Increases The City of Vero Beach (the “City”) hereby provides notice that it proposes to increase its utility rates for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water services. The City is facing rising operational costs related to the provision of utility services and must address necessary infrastructure maintenance and improvements to ensure continued reliable service to its customers. A public hearing will be held before the City Council on June 4, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1053 20th Place, Vero Beach, FL 32960, to consider the proposed utility rate increases. All interested parties are invited to attend and provide comments. Copies of the proposed rate schedules and supporting documentation are available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s Office, located at the same address. Questions or inquiries regarding the proposed rate increases may be directed to the City’s Utility Business Office at (772) 978-5100."

"NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Vero Beach, Florida, will hold a Public Hearing at the City Hall Council Chambers, 1053 20th Place, Vero Beach, Florida 32960, commencing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, to consider the following Ordinance: ORDINANCE NO. 2024-10 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERO BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY’S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENTS TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ELEMENT, OBJECTIVE CIE-2; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY TO IMPLEMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The proposed ordinance is available for inspection at the office of the City Clerk, 1053 20th Place, Vero Beach, Florida, during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
