Bullock County residents, including Union Springs, are urged to complete all preparations immediately as a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect. Issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham, AL, today, October 9, at 6:57 AM CDT, the warning is active until 3:00 PM CDT.

Threats include sustained winds of 10-20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, with a potential for winds reaching 39 to 57 mph. Residents should move to safe shelter before hazardous winds begin. Potential impacts include damage to lightweight structures, broken tree limbs, and scattered power outages.
