Mobile Food Unit (MFU) Licensing – City of RamseyApplications should be submitted at least 2-3 weeks prior to your event taking place in the City of Ramsey, located in Anoka County. MFU Licenses are valid through December 31 of the licensing year. A fire inspection is included and valid for other cities that require fire inspections within Anoka County.Mobile Food Unit (MFU) licenses are required for:Food trucks and vendors operating in the City and selling to the public. Example: Food truck selling to the public in a gas station parking lot.Food trucks and vendors operating in the City at private events on City property.Example: Food truck at a graduation party in one of the City parks.Mobile food unit licenses are not required for:Food trucks or vendors operating on private property for private (invitation-only) events that are not available to the public . Example: A private business invites a food truck to serve an employee lunch on their property.What You Will Need to ApplyLicense fee $190Certificate of liability insurance with “City of Ramsey” listed as additional certificate holderAnoka County Food/Beverage* license or Minnesota Department of Agriculture license (Note: we cannot accept MDH certificates only)Recent photo of applicant for City-issued ID badgeCertificate of workers’ compensation insurance (as required)Food truck fire inspection by the Ramsey Fire marshal (required within 30 days of the application date).
