TUSKEGEE, AL – A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Tuskegee, effective immediately, by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Birmingham, AL. The watch was issued today, October 8, at 12:59 PM CDT and expires at 9:00 PM CDT.
Residents in Tuskegee should prepare for hazardous conditions, including winds of 39 to 57 mph. Efforts to protect property should be underway. Act now to complete preparations before winds become hazardous. Potential impacts include damage to unanchored structures, broken tree limbs, and scattered power outages.
A Flood Watch is also in effect. Moderate rainfall flooding is possible, with 1-3 inches of rain expected, and locally higher amounts.
