Wind Advisory Issued: Secure Outdoor Items Tonight Through Sunday Morning
A Wind Advisory has been issued for parts of Monongalia, Preston, and Tucker Counties from tonight at 8 PM until Sunday at 11 AM, with gusts up to 50 mph expected; residents should secure outdoor objects.
Residents in affected areas should secure outdoor objects this evening as a Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Pittsburgh PA.
The advisory is in effect from 8:00 PM EDT tonight, October 10, until 11:00 AM EDT Sunday, October 11. Southeast winds are expected to reach 20 to 35 mph, with gusts between 40 to 50 mph.
The affected areas include the Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston, Preston, Eastern Preston, Western Tucker, and Eastern Tucker Counties.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. The NWS warns that tree limbs may be blown down, and isolated power outages are possible.
