In the small town of Brundidge, Alabama, in 1925, there was a rally held by the Brundidge Chapter of the Knights of the Klu Klux Klan that was so well attended there was estimated to be 3,000 people in attendance, and 500 cars, and Included “A splendid brass band composed of Brundidge boys and girls, [who] furnished music for the occasion.” Thus indicating the enthusiasm and pride the town of Brundidge held for race-based hate groups having a known predilection for violence against blacks.
