Schoharie (Schoharie County): Joseph G. Wyche, III, 81 of Terrace Mountain Road Schoharie, NY passed away Thursday, May 7th at the Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown where he had resided since March.Mr. Wyche was born October 27, 1944 in Albany, NY, a son of Joseph and Marie (Vona) Wyche. He graduated from Ravena-Coeyman’s High School and began his lifelong travels landing in Long Beach, California where he owned and operated “Lester Box” building container boxes mostly for the US Military. He traveled and served missionaries in Mexico, New Mexico and California. He also served as a minister with The Lord’s Church in Bellflower, California. Besides traveling, Joe also enjoyed playing golf.He his survived by his wife, Joan (Danckert) Wyche whom me married June 15, 1991, 2 daughters; Michelle Evans and Jean Bell (Zachary) both of Maryland, 4 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, his brothers; Guy, Larry and Jeff, and his sisters; Danelle Parks (Dan) and Michelle Fralick (Rick). Joe was predeceased by his brother Raymond.As per Joe’s wishes,there will be no formal services. The Langan Funeral Home of Schoharie along with the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home of Cobleskill are assisting Joe’s family.
