Enders Road Students Create Earth Day Coffee Sleeves for Local Businesses

" Enders Road Elementary students are making a difference in honor of Earth Day with some help from the community. While supplies last, you can get student-designed coffee sleeves at the Holland Farms Bakery & Deli, SkyTop Cafe, Crepe Time Cafe, and the Manlius Library. The sleeves feature drawings and messages about how people can make a positive impact and be kind to the Earth. The sleeves feature messages such as “plant more trees,” “treat Earth like you treat others,” and “we love the Earth, so save it!”  The project was organized by the Enders Road Site-Based Team. It’s a shared decision-making group made up of teachers, parents, and administrators.  “This year, our goal has been to brainstorm projects that support our students and reflect our motto, Life Needs Kindness,” shared Enders Road Assistant Principal Tom Cheevers.  It’s a mission they hope spreads throughout the community. Customers are encouraged to recycle the coffee sleeves after use and continue to practice environmental kindness. Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22.
