Schoharie (Schoharie County): Boyce A. Lawyer 71, of Rickard Hill Road Schoharie, NY passed away Thursday, May 7th at his home under the loving care of his family.Boyce was born December 21, 1954 in Middleburgh, NY, a son of Boyce V. Lawyer and Leah Joslin. He graduated from Middleburgh High School class of 1974 where he played football and playing his drums. He later began a long working career, first with the former Great American where he worked his way to Manager, then at the Industrial Park in Guilderland, and finally Price Chopper warehouse where he retired after contracting Lyme disease in 2011. Boyce enjoyed playing video games, and the winter months skiing and ice-skating.He met the love of his life in 1973 and married Star Bender on July 12, 1975 who survives along with two daughters; Brandy (Nub) and Casey (Tim) both of Schoharie, 3 grandchildren; Claudia, Nathan, and Davian, 4 great-grandchildren; Oaklee, Levi, Maverick, and Brinley, his father whom he admired Boyce V. Lawyer of Middleburgh (who visited every day) his brothers; Dennis Joslin, Dana Joslin, Wayne Lawyer and Bruce Lawyer, his step-sister; Debbie Hamm and several nieces and nephews. Boyce was predeceased by his granddaughter, Savana Summer Slater, his mother Leah Joslin, his step-mother, Marlene Lawyer, his brother, David Joslin, sister, Sabrina Warner (Joslin) and step-brother, Danny Mickle.A period of visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Thursday, May 14th at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street Schoharie.
