Charles William Trageser III, known as Bill, died Oct. 7 at age 76. The Titusville resident was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Trageser earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Maryland and spent his career as a program analyst at NASA before retiring. After leaving the agency, he lived on Maryland's Eastern Shore, then Arizona, before settling in Titusville to be near former NASA colleagues.

He was a Moose Lodge member since 2006 and enjoyed fishing on the Indian River Lagoon, golfing, bowling, skiing, and traveling. He met Lynn Flannery years into his bachelor life; they married and remained together until her death in May 2026.

Trageser is survived by Lynn's sons Justin and Jason Morgan and their families; his niece Bonnie Carpenter and her family; his nephews Wayne and Robert Layton and their families; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Hazel Trageser, his sister Donna Brower, his wife Lynn, and his granddaughter Olivia Morgan.

A service will be held Nov. 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Moose Lodge. Casual attire is welcome.
