Position: Deputy Sheriff Department: Unknown County Sheriff's Office Job Description: Performs law enforcement and public safety duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and state and local laws. Responds to calls for service, investigates crimes, enforces traffic laws, makes arrests, and provides assistance to the public. Duties include patrol, report writing, court testimony, and community engagement. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must meet all POST certification requirements or be eligible to obtain them. Prior law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
