Tequesta Code Compliance Relocates to Village Hall

The Village of Tequesta's Code Compliance Division now operates from Village Hall, joining the Building Department. This move aims to streamline services for residents ensuring code compliance.

Code Compliance Officers enforce village regulations and address common violations. A new state law, effective July 1, 2021, requires reporters to provide their name and address for investigations. Anonymous complaints will not be investigated.

Residents can report violations online via the Report Code Violation Form or by calling 561-768-0458. Both methods require the reporter's name and address. Additional evidence, such as eyewitness accounts and photographs, is welcome.

The Village Council appoints a Special Master for two-year terms to preside over code enforcement matters monthly. Hearings are open to the public.
