Tequesta residents and contractors can now access a wide array of Building Department forms online, streamlining the permit and application process. The Tequesta, FL Official Website's Building Department section provides a centralized hub for frequently used documents.

The available forms cover construction and property modification, including applications for building permits, AC change-outs, boat permits, garage sales, and tree removal. Specialized forms are also provided for reroofing projects, with specific documents for asphalt shingles, wood shakes, concrete or clay tiles, metal roofs, and flat roofs.

For larger projects or renovations, the department offers forms such as the Milestone Inspection Report (Structural Safety Inspection Report Form), Floodplain Permit Application, and Impervious Area Worksheet. Notices of Commencement and Termination are available, along with various affidavits for owners and contractors.

In addition to permit applications, the Building Department offers checklists to assist applicants. These guides detail submittal requirements for projects including AC change-outs, chickee huts, demolitions, docks, driveways, electrical panels, fences, flooring, generators, home additions, LP gas installations, renovations, roofing, seawalls, signs, single-family homes, solar panels, special events, stormwater drainage plans, swimming pools, temporary power poles, water heater change-outs, and windows/doors.

The Building Permit Fee Schedule, approved by Council on Feb. 14, 2019, is also accessible. Residents with questions may contact the Building Department directly at 561-768-0450.
