Florida Connections Academy: Free Virtual School for Temple Terrace

Temple Terrace families considering Florida Connections Academy for their children's education will find the virtual school offers a tuition-free experience. The online public school receives state funding to cover educational costs, operating similarly to traditional brick-and-mortar public schools. Families do not pay tuition for their student's learning.

While the core curriculum and instructional materials are provided at no cost, families are responsible for some expenses. These include the cost of select school supplies necessary for daily learning. Fees may also apply for optional in-person field trips.

Florida Connections Academy requires families to provide their own computer and internet service. However, the school offers a technology hardship exception for households without suitable equipment or reliable internet access. Approved families may receive a computer on loan and/or a subsidy for internet service. Any school-provided computer equipment must be returned upon withdrawal or graduation.

Prospective families can begin the enrollment process by visiting the Florida Connections Academy website and selecting 'Start Enrollment.' The application requires answering questions in an online system and submitting necessary documents. Upon confirmation of enrollment, families will gain access to the Pearson Online Classroom and the Learning Coach Community.
