Tampa Ranks #24 on Cvent's Top Meeting Destinations
Tampa rose to the #24 spot on Cvent's rankings of top meeting destinations in North America, up four places from #28 last year. The ranking, based on activity within Cvent's network of over 14,000 cities worldwide, marks the fourth consecutive year Tampa has appeared on the list.
Cvent, a meetings and events technology company, evaluates cities on their success attracting group business, event planner collaboration, venue offerings, and hotels. Tampa now ranks above Charlotte, Philadelphia, and Seattle.
The Tampa Convention Center, a 600,000-square-foot waterfront facility in downtown Tampa, anchors the city's appeal. It won the gold medal for Best Convention Center in the Southeast for three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025, according to The Stella Awards by Northstar Meetings Group.
The center coordinates with Visit Tampa Bay and local hotels to manage corporate meetings, trade shows, and conferences. Cvent sourced over $20 billion in group business through its platforms in 2025.
"Climbing to number 24 on Cvent's list is a tremendous testament to Tampa's economic momentum," said David Ingram, executive director of the Tampa Convention Center. "This milestone highlights the tireless work of our venue staff and our close-knit collaboration with Visit Tampa Bay and our on-site service partners."
