Pinellas Park residents will soon have two new fast-casual dining options: Shake Shack and Dutch Bros Coffee. The popular burger chain and coffee retailer are set to open new drive-thru locations on adjacent lots at 6994 U.S. Highway 19 North.

The establishments will be built on neighboring parcels across from The Shoppes at Park Place and next to a planned EōS Fitness Center. A Walgreens building on the 1.83-acre property will be demolished to make way for the new construction. Shake Shack will occupy a 3,493-square-foot building at the corner of 70th Avenue North and U.S. Highway 19 North. Dutch Bros will operate a nearby 1,025-square-foot coffee shop.

Both locations will feature dual-lane drive-thrus. Shake Shack will also offer indoor seating. Dutch Bros will serve customers through its drive-thru and a walk-up window.

Shake Shack, a New York-based company, began incorporating drive-thru lanes into new locations in 2021. The company originated as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in 2001 and opened its first restaurant in 2004. It now has over 690 locations globally, including more than 445 in the United States.
