FIU Panthers Host Long Island University Sharks in NCAA FCS Football Showdown on September 26, 2026

Florida International University (FIU) will host Long Island University (LIU) in an NCAA Football FCS matchup on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM EDT at Florida International University in Sweetwater, FL.

FIU, representing Conference USA, enters the contest after a 16-10 loss to Florida Atlantic on September 19. They will look to rebound on their home turf against the Sharks, who are part of the Northeast Conference. This will be an opportunity for FIU to showcase their CUSA conference play against an NEC opponent.

Long Island University will travel to Sweetwater for this non-conference game. While details of LIU's previous games are not available, the matchup provides an inter-conference test for both programs. The Panthers will aim to utilize their home-field advantage as they welcome LIU. This game represents a chance for both teams to gain experience against an opponent from a different conference structure early in the season. The game will take place at Florida International University's home stadium in Sweetwater.
